Abstract:

It is important to evaluate the prognostic factors for lung cancer which heads the incidence and mortality among cancers in China. TNM staging is a most important prognostic factor for lung cancer, but there are various outcomes for those with same TNM staging, especially in early lung cancer. Blood vessel invasion plays an important role in the progression and metastasis of cancer, and may be a prognostic factor for non-small cell lung cancer. Researches have indicated that blood vessel invasion has important impact on the prognosis of early lung cancer, especially for those without lymph node metastasis. Some scholars have also suggested that blood vessel invasion be involved in TNM staging system of early lung cancer. This review introduces the relationship between blood vessel invasion and outcomes in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.
