Progress of endoscopic treatment for early and superficial esophageal squamous cell carcinoma

Abstract:

Early esophageal cancer confined to the esophageal mucosa and submucosa without lymph node metastasis, including intra-mucosal and submucosal cancers. With the development of endoscopic techniques, the early diagnosis rate is going on increase. The application of endoscopic minimally invasive techniques in the treatment of early esophageal lesions not only achieves the same therapeutic effect as traditional surgical procedures, but also has the advantages of simply, safety and low risk; obviously improves the postoperative quality of life, which represents the future direction.
