Diagnosis and therapy of pulmonary hamartoma

Abstract

Abstract:

Pulmonary hamartoma is the most common benign lung tumor, accounting for about 75% of benign lung tumors. Typical radiological characteristics include "popcorn" calcification and fat shadow. It is usually difficult to diagnose hamartoma without these typical radiological characteristics. Then other alternatives in diagnosis should be considered. To avoid the unnecessary operations, the diagnostic accuracy should be further improved, and the surgical indications should be strictly followed.
