Abstract

Abstract:

Objective

To analyze the funding of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) on the field of lung cancer between 2018 to 2020.

Methods

Analysis was performed after searching in the database of NSFC with the keywords of "lung cancer" and "pulmonary malignant tumor" .

Results

A total of 751 projects were funded in the field of lung cancer during the past 3 years. Among them, 348 projects were young programme and 330 were general programme. And there were differences between the two kind of programme on the age, profession and titles and professional qualifications.

Conclusion

Lung cancer was one of focused fields funded by NSFC. The applicants should strengthen themselves to conform such a competitive situation.
