Focusing on the subtlety—precision diagnosis and treatment of early lung cancer in Chang Gung Memorial Hospital-Linkou: an interview with Dr. Yin-Kai Chao

Abstract:

Chang Gung Memorial Hospital-Linkou (CGMH) has the largest thoracic surgery center in Taiwan Island, which has developed rapidly under the leadership of Dr. Yin-Kai Chao and enjoys a regional and global reputation in specialties and sub-specialties including lung tumors, robotic surgery for esophageal cancer, and lung transplantation. In particular, thanks to its robust hybrid treatment platforms, multidisciplinary teams, and humanistic patient care, CGMH has achieved fruitful results in the management of lung cancer. The world’s first image-guided video-assisted thoracic surgery global reference site (co-hosted by Siemens) was established for the training of surgeons all over the world. Commissioned by Chinese Journal of Thoracic Surgery (Electronic Edition) , Dr. Zhigang Li from the Department of Thoracic Surgery, Shanghai Chest Hospital, interviewed Dr. Chao, focusing on CGMH’s experience in treating lung cancer.
