Controversies and consensus on esophageal (gastrointestinal) stromal tumors

Abstract

Abstract:

Esophageal stromal tumor is a part of gastrointestinal stromal tumor, and the incidence rate is on the rise. After 30 years of research, some great progress and certain consensus have been achieved, but its exact definition, histogenesis, biological behavior, judgement of benign or malignant, and diagnosis and treatment are still controversial. The paper discusses the controversies and consensus of esophageal (gastrointestinal) stromal tumors through literature search and data analysis.
